yous may be aware of the astounding website that is <a href="http://preswiki.hymagumba.com">"The Great Big Pres wiki"</a>

However I feel the word "wiki" in it's title stigmatises it. I want to try and get away from the dribble that is wikipedia.

Essentially I'm asking for a rebranding exercise. I need a name that suggest pres, and fabulousness, and avoids the use of wiki.

Oh and while you're at it, go and post some stuff on it. I mean at the moment most activity seems to consist of del monte posting a load of odd punctuation and everyone else cleaning up after him.

I want more things along the lines of a duty rota for the HTV West viewer, a Kay Alexander shrine, stuff about Severe Chrissie and of course Michael Collie's hair.

Otherwise it'll all be sad and lonely and full of interrobangs :(

I agree with you in one particular area.

The trouble with Wikwhatsitsname is that you can't be sure whether the information on it is true or not.

You, therefore, have to assume that it's ALL a complete heap of turd and ignore ALL of it.

If you're going to have an encyclopedia of any kind on the web, it's got to be TRUSTED to be correct if you're going to rely on it.

oh indeed. It's very useful for getting a basic overview of something, however it's useless for deep info. We had a very long lecture about why we mustn't use the thing in September.

Yes, it's useful for getting an average PERCEPTION about something, but, contrary to the old saying, perception isn't necessirily truth.

Well it's usually my first port of call for information, but only because it usually comes up first on a search engine. After that, anything goes really. But yeah, it is very easily abused.

yes, now stop talking about the shoddy other site, and start talking about the pres site.

Your link at the top doesn't work, Hyma! Seems to be a rogue " in it!

Why do people say “Quad bike” and “Double prime”—it is like saying a “three-sided square”, oh wait they do, “Tri-square”?!
