I'm cooking us a roast tonight. And it's a really nice feeling to be tucked up in warm house when it's cold, grey and autumny outside with the nights drawing in. The aroma of roast chicken and roast potatoes and parsnips. Brocolli, cabbage,carrot/swede mshed, and mashed potatoes coming from the kitchen. It smells and feels really homely. Bubble and squeek tomorrow! It realy feels like Autumn/winter now. Whats your favorite winter food?

Changed to Hymas kitchen( seeing as TVF won't allow it)

I've cheated on the dessert! It's homemde ( by tesco) Chocolate eclairs.

A nice homemade chicken soup with a fresh crusty loaf.

Followed by icecream of your choice

Finally a large hot toddy or just a double brandy or 2! That should make you feel better.

What's going on with your hair?

I can't taste anything properly.

I think I'm going to go down to Tesco for some fresh air, and buy a baguette.

oh yes. But I'll only make use of the Finest fresh air. Tesco Value Air is the air they use inside branches of Lidl.

I have a Lidl practically in my back garden right next to the new pub, yet i still use Tesco Express which is close to my front garden ( yes i live on one of those housing development sites( i call it lego land ;))- been going on for 10 years now). I go into auto pilot. I must try and chnge my habits. I hear its cheaper in Lidl.

Right for all you students out there. Here's a recipe for spaghetti bolognaise. Thought i'd start with something easy. All you will need is a slow cooker, frying pan, saucepan, minced beef, an onion and a jar of bolognaise sauce and of course a packet of Spaghetti pasta.

Before you leave the house in the morning or prepare the night before.

Sweat the onions in hot oil in a frying pan brown off the mince add jar of sauce simmer for 5 mins. Empty contents into the slow cooker set the cooker to Auto and leave on while out all day studying hard at uni. When hungry cook the spaghetti as the instructions state. Serve and devour. If ther is any left over, turn the cooker off and reset it the following morning on slow. It tastes so much better if left for 24hours.

Everyone should have a slow cooker.
