I'm going to take the opportunity to rant at mine because they're fools. Since merging with umist they've changed all the addresses from @stud.man.ac.uk to the ludicrously long @student.manchester.ac.uk. Tsk @ them. Don't they realise how long it takes to type out firstname.initial.lastname@student.manchester.ac.uk?!

That is pretty stupid. However, if they are anything like mine (ukc.ac.uk to kent.ac.uk) you will still be able to use the better way for years to come.
