On the other, you could argue THEY were stopping our customers from BEING healthy - certainly the organic juice bar on the Tour's route was mightily pissed off we couldn;t get their 24 trays of fruit and veg to them so they could start lunch

Well here's what happened...
You sitting comfortably? Good!
The village came to life about 1.15pm. All of about 30 showed up to cheer them on. They were well off schedule. They were due to come past at about 13.45 they came past about an hour later. It wasn't all bad though. I had a laugh with an ex-boyfriend from about 20 years ago ( fuck i feel old). His mum broke my favourite mug and his kids ate loads of my lollipops.
You know, i've never seen so many coppers on motorbikes. I hope the cycling prefishency ( How do you spell that word?) paid for the police to be taken off our streets for this. There was just a fleeting thought of robbing the local bank
They eventually came by, it lasted all of 5 seconds. Then the village idiot, with his bike and lycra decided to join them for a few hundred yards. There were a few stragglers, but they could well have been the village idiots from down the road.
And that was that.
