As is my bloke. So this week i've done a spag bol, chilli con carne, baked pots and a Chicken roast. When i told him what i was cooking he said WHAT! In this heat?. I suffered oh how i suffered slaving more than usual in the kitchen but after we got past the sweats we actually enjoyed the dinners.

What have you lot been surviving on during the heatwave?

Mostly BBQs. For lunch it tends to be rolls with either cheese (cheddar or Red Leicester), Philadelphia cream cheese or brussels pate.

We had fish 'n' chips last night, which I now don't find too appetising - it's just too full of grease. But I'm now dying for spaghetti bolognaise, chilli con carne or a roast chicken meal!

For lunch i've been living on those Brunchetta thingys. Also Water biscuits/ crackers and dairylea but then i read that Dairylea contains more salt per 100g than sea water. So how come seawater tastes so wretch yet dairylea is so Yum? Hmm!!!
I'm going back to good old Philadelphia. Or now you mention it Pate.

The Pub about five doors from my salon does lovely sandwiches, i manage to grab a couple of prawn on white on a Saturday lunchtime. Saturday lunches are always on me at work. The girls bugger off for an hour and a half and i foot the lunch bill sometimes i even join them.

It's weird because I've never eaten sandwiches, except for bacon, and am only recently eating plenty of rolls. Of course for me, there's no bill to pay, and if I'm lucky I can avoid making it sometimes.

The funny thing is i don't normally eat sandwiches or rolls either. The bread my local pub uses comes from a branch of my ex- inlaws' local bakery and it is really really tasty.Ssssh!! I didn't say that.

A local bakery for someone who is, gasp, not local?!? Get out, get out, this is a local shop for local people! There's nothing for you here!

As you can probably tell, I like comedy!

Ask me any question like that on British sitcoms in the last few years and I would probably know the answer!

Don't need to, I already am!

Sorry, I tried, honest I did, but I couldn't resist. I withdraw that comment.
