Decent Broadband on the cheap

But if you're paying Rupert the money anyway, because you want the television channels, then it's effectively a free bonus; just like the Freeserve/Wannadoo/Orange offering is effectively free if you want to pay contract rate for an Orange mobile phone.

I just wish they'd charge a fair rate for the broadband for those (including me) who want it; and reduce the charges for the television chanels or mobile phones or whatever; and stop cross-subsidising.

There's no such thing as a free lunch. The broadband is costing somebody something, so it'll be getting passed on to the end user by some indirect means or other.

I thought it was a £40 connection fee then free unless you want the super duper quick broadband in which case it'll cost £10 a month.

Think i'll follow Mr.Nicks idea to wait until the feedback comes flooding in from the masses that will try it.
