Moveing from cable and am having nightmares about the whole ADSL thing.
There is a nice woman at BT NI trying to sort this for me. Problem is she's fighting other parts of BT which are saying the throughput is acceptable when she agrees with me that it isn't.

She's sending me a new wireless router and microfilters now, in case that helps. That's generous of her as mine is two and a half years old, and has nothing to do with BT. I'm quite sure it won't fix the problem though. Essentially she's admitted that they really haven't got to grips with the large numbers of problems associated with ADSL Max and are all learning as they go along.

She does sound nice.

I hope you are planning on writing a letter mentioning her with much praise?

Go on - she might get a nice bonus come Christmas. What with you being famous and all ;)

Oh I will. I may be quick to complain when I feel it's necessary, but it works the other way too.

Still no change. BT Wholesale have rebuilt my BRAS profile and I've tried a new router that BT Retail sent me. I've replaced the microfilter on the phone, but still I am only getting a throughput at around one third of what they say I should get, and no one knows why.
