Sunny Leith, on the north side of Edinburgh where my office is based, was utterly swamped by a plague of shiny winged flies.
They were bouncing off my head, getting stuck in my hair, and several attempted to enter my mouth as I stood at a bus stop.
Horrific. It really looked like some biblical inundation.
None in or around my flat which is a little south of there, so they seem to be localised to coastal areas.
