I read it on the Stansted express and it lightened up my very hot day in Londing. Thank you very much.

Well I doubt he knows as then Nick would surely HAVE to know!

Unless I'm mistaken, it was Mr Gumba who took us in that particular direction; but perhaps you weren't concentrating when it came to reading his particular post?

I feel cheated as we were supposed to get storms round here yesterday. I parked up on the cliffs waiting for the storm clouds to come over, but, nothing, there was a little trickle of rain though. It's a bit cooler today but still really quite humid. Fortuntely my salon is like a little cave in the afternoons, it stays quite cool. Actually there was one storm on Tuesday evening, my bloke woke me to tell me, apparently i said " that's nice" and went back to sleep. That irritated him, because he tiptoes around the bedroom when i'm asleep but he always manages to disturb me, yet a storm can be banging away overhead and i stay sound asleep.

It's now warmer than its been all week.
Same here, they've also been mentioning that there's going to be tons of rain during the day, though this only occured between 1.00am and 6.00am this morning (ie I was asleep), they even made a special mention on the late North West Tonight last night singling out Warrington to be badly affected, I couldn't sleep due to the heat, but I didn't hear any rain... Though the only News mention it got today was a School roof collapsing on the outskirts of Warrington...

I *was* in England at the time though....
I slept through the hurricane in 87. Our conker tree came down onto the railway track behind our house. It was after that that i realised how deeply i sleep. My brother was working on the ferries night too. His ship was grounded on the beach by morning. All was ok thankfully, he didn't forget my fags

A nastier person than I, having consumed a glass more red than I, might comment that if all the exits were blocked, then so were the entrances, which might have been a good thing, Mr Grandhotel.
