IE 7 Display problem

I've had a play with the tuning thing and it's not too bad. I reckon it's one of those things where I'll get used to it, then in about 3 months time turn it off and wonder why the hell I changed. Then 3 months afterwards turn it back on and so on and so forth forever and ever Amen.

OR

We could actually turn our computers off and go outside and breath fresh air. Mwhahaha!

Take a look at this. Depending on how good your monitor is (viewing with a CRT is like viewing through clingfilm compared to LCD) you should be able to spot the differences below

As much as LCD offers absolute crisp clean squareness of everything, in almost every other area it's a poor relation to CRT. I still view a decent flatscreen CRT as the best production display technology there is, and I do worry about the mass exodus to LCD displays which look sexy and take up little space, but offer an image vastly inferior to a decent CRT monitor.

Don't get me wrong - I acknowledge that CRT monitors are old hat and a replacement must be found, but IMO we don't have that replacement yet. LCD is a terrific tecchnology for laptops in the absence of anything comparable in terms of physical space required and power required, but for a computer on someone's desk? Sorry, CRT still deserves the tiop spot until it can be bettered. Sadly, as with the changeover from analogue to digital TV, it appears that consumers will become accustomed to tolerating a poor LCD image over a nice CRT one because of the unobtrustiveness of an LCD disiplay vs a CRT monitor, but all in all, picture quality will go down.

Nooo, I had a flat screen CRT for five years and moving to a 20" widecreen LCD has been revolutionary for me.

I had to hook up my old CRT the other day because I'm using the old PC as a network hub, and I was shocked at how poor the quality is compared to LCD.

If anyone is going to buy a new monitor, then get a widescreen one. DVD's are a pleasure to watch, websites are easier to navigate and you can have multiple applications running without the screen seemingly intolerably cluttered!

While I much prefer CRTs for tellys and know of the problems with LCDs, I couldn't go back to a normal screen now. I think the difference is the fact it's right in front of your face rather than over a room. As you're likely to be the only one using it the viewing angle is not a problem.

However, if I download a TV show and want to watch it from my bed then I have to play around retilting the screen which I never had to do for the CRT.
