The most effective advertising campaign for milk ever to hit the media.

It eventually had to be withdrawn because of the number of children stealing bottles of milk and blaming it on "Humphrey".

I've still got a sticker, here on my "pending" box, with the picture of the red and white striped straw and the famous slogan.

So, without being TOO rude to a lady, you're old enough to remember that campaign, then, Lorna?

I'm more of the "Watch out, Beadle's About" era when ITV was actually good at what it did.

Oh and who can remember the fabulous theme tune to You Bet ? ;)

Yep!

Big studio, bit music, big audience etc. I think ITV's golden era was from 1989 - 1998. It's just a shame it's not a transient shadow of it's former self and now only driven by money and not a desire to make memorable and inspiring quality programmes. :(

Can we go back to talking about milk please? I haven't got a clue what Jamez is talking about there.

I'm old enough to remember having milk at primary school while singing puff the magic dragon :D

Two more people, then, who are shouting "It's actually called "Blowin' in the Wind" in the Catchphrase thread.

I was going to put a picture of some clothes on a line, earlier, but never got round to it.

Peter Paul and Mary fans unite!

I was gonna put some washing on the line too and never got round to it. Procrastinating was far more fun. I liked Sputs catchphrase i got that one straight away.
Not so sure about the link Nick! I much prefer carbuncle corner.
