Simple question, quick answer needed... Can I block callers on the 3 network?
Tried the website but no joy.
Can I block callers on 3?
You could try ringing their customer services line and asking if they can block a certain number. I think this is possible if you get nuisance calls on 2G.
Or are you not prepared to spend your cash ringing people in a foreign land who don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about and read from scripts and shit themselves if you attempt to deviate?

Tell me about it... I spent 30 minutes trying to explain that no buttons on my phone were working, yet she insisted on taking me through the protocol of turning my phone on and off. Then she put me on to the supervisor who did exactly the same thing.Chris wrote:You could try ringing their customer services line and asking if they can block a certain number. Sorry to deviate.
Similar things happen if you try to report any fault whatsoever to Sky..."I'm going to take you through a connection check", at least at present though you still don't have to struggle to converse in broken English with a call centre operative located in a third world country. Don't get me started on HSBC's 'facility' in Vietnam... Again sorry to deviate.Tell me about it... I am in the unfortunate position of being on Three and with HSBC. I feel I should meet up with them for a drink the amount of time I've had to speak to them.
Well when the international call centre hounded me at a rate in excess of 20 calls per day because I was 45 pence outside of my overdraft limit (whilst HSBC in the UK (i.e. the old Midland Bank) were happy to send polite letters requesting that I correct the problem within 10 days) the number which my phone displayed certainly originated from Vietnam. Back when I used to bother answer the phone to this call centre rather than just ignore it and only take correspondence from the UK seriously, asking where the call centre was based generated responses from 'I'm not authorised to reveal that information' to listing one of several former eastern-block countries. Is it really Vietnam?
Either way, it's a far cry from dealing with a UK-based call centre and enjoying the luxury of conversing with someone who could actually speak competent English. Sadly, raising this issue with HSBC - that I consider it unacceptable to be expected to discuss my bank account with someone who cannot speak good English when I opened the account with a British bank (I didn't ask for Midland to become part of HSBC) from an English speaking country apparently makes me racist, as I've found when trying to question the provision of these foreign call centres.
