Does anyone actually have this? It would appear most of us have the rather vile new messenger but I have not found anyone yet with Mail.
If you do? Can you invite people to it? or is that all up to MS?

I've been using it for a couple of months on my primary hotmail.
I hate it. Its slow, you can only display a maximum of 20 (I think) messages from your inbox per page, you can't drag and drop files in the way they suggest - merely documents within your email, the multiple file attach facility has gone, there is no "select all" option, the adverts take up too much screen space and are slow to load, the placement of the buttons is so *wrong* that I frequently cancel my new message when I try to send it, the whole inbox window area is too small to work in, when it is supposed to display the inbox it often sits on a white page until you browse away....
I really could go on.
I know its at a beta stage, but I have been forthright and frank in my feedback.
I hope the final build is different, or else I'd like a "classic" option so I don't have to suffer it.
There is no invite option as far as I can see. My secondary hotmail account was invited some weeks ago but so far I have declined to activate it.

I have this on my unused Hotmail .co.uk account - I don't use Hotmail, but I bagged the name before someone else did.
They've tried to hard to mimic the style of Outlook and its workings, but I feel they are failing somewhat. It looks far too plain for my liking, and harsh on the eye.
Start page: -

Dragging and dropping a message: -

The right click menu (a.la OWA for anyone who has Exchange)

god they are big adverts aren't they.
I've had a shot at Yahoo Mail Beta which is rather nice.
I still dislike the whole of Live! in general though, especially live.com which seems completly pointless, like an old portal site from 2000

I have the classic option on for the reasons you mention. I think it's in the main options page (second option from the bottom).Gavin Scott wrote:I've been using it for a couple of months on my primary hotmail.
