SE phones can take a good beating... already dropped the new one a few times!

My old T610 has rolled down the street into a puddle with no damage, thrown across the room by my brother, and only a little scratch on the screen for it.

Features are good... like being able to Sync it with iSync as I'm a heavy user of iCal. T610 also had good sync. Problems with the old phone... fussy joystick, faulty charger, average camera and no music playback.

Ought I to post a picture of my first mobile phone at this point?

No, perhaps not!

How many people do you know who use video calls though?
I know where you are coming from, but please rest assured Adam that I am not thick. A lot of my friends have video phones, and we increasingly video-calling eachother at gigs, holidays, and such like.

And Sput, you have to be a very special person to have my number ;)

Sorry, we're still quite basic here. We actually talk face to face here.

We also do too, but that proves challenging when miles away from eachother. Videocalling is just that little more personal than voice calling.

Unless Consett has a solution to face to face but distant talking? Don't say webcam...

I wouldn't know... I don't really tend to stay in Consett much longer than passing it on the bus :P I'm more concerned about getting a decent voice signal than video calling. We're quite a close community anyway - most of the people I either know and are a few streets away or I see in college, or as we call it, the shopping mall. And when I do use the phone I'm usually walking... It's cold enough in Durham without holding a phone at arms length, and then paying £1/min or whatever they charge.

Quite a few people have placed bids on this, but must admit I'm a little sceptical myself.

Be very dubious. New seller 0 feedback, and look at the questions, the guy who's email address is on eBay has no idea what the person asking if its 1 or 15 phones is talking about.
