No, it's one of these. Latest technology as you can see to provide the best performance.

Yeah I noticed that my local Scotmid sign has been taken down. Just lights and wires there at the moment.

Easter Road hasn't been touched - and in fact has just had a mini-refit.

Given that they can't sort out enough staff for the teatime rush (every single weeknight), I'd be surprised to see them tackle a new sign.

The service at Scotmid is absolute crap. It takes ages to be served is only one bad thing.

presumably just the CWS stores? each of the seperate co-operative societies throughout the country are free to adopt or ignore nationally produced logos.

It explains everything here.

I see that my local Co-op is not involved in the project; probably a wise move, considering that they've just spent a considerable sum rebranding their "Plymco" shops to "Co-op".

Apologies for bumping this thread but I didn't feel it necessary to open a new one.

Has anyone seen the new Vodafone logo? The UK is one of the few countries that haven't brought this in yet although I did notice it on the side of some buses today. It's pretty much the same as before but the circle is a bit more 3D and silver and the text doesn'tt have the quotation marks inside them. New font aswell by the looks of it...

I can't upload the white background version at the moment so heres the red one from the New Zealand site:

I prefer the current Vodafone UK logo.

My co-op is just the co-op logo then the village name, changed a year maybe two ago from the old "co-operative local" branding.

The Truro and Newquay (possibly St. Austell too) co-ops both IIRC have the ye olde pioneer branding however. You would think that two / three towns and cities would get new developments in branding before a pokey little village?

Brad wrote:1. The original thick italic logo, still found on their bottles of UHT milk. ;) Uniform: White shirt and grey tie.
2. The capitalised Century Gothic bold look, that lasted about a year. The only branch exterior I recall being rebranded in this way was the one in Exeter. Uniform: Lemon yellow shirt that got grubby fast.
3. The 'starfish' logo. Small lowercase typeface and 'starfish' above the 'drug' bit. Shame the 'starfish' was referred to in the company as the 'cat's arsehole' as it resembled one. Uniform: Jade or pink polo tops and jumpers. Pot luck as to which colour you were assigned. Thankfully, I got a jade one. Dropped for Christmas 1998 in favour of these lurid blue jumpers with glitter angel wings on the back embazoned with the words "I'm an angel" And yes, I had to wear one!!!
4. Updated version of the above, on a black background, the 'starfish' now replaced by a star. Uniform: Black tops. Never wore one as I left the company before they were introduced. Black shirts?! Whose marketing idea was that? Mosley's great grandson?!

Speaking of such branding, a Superdrug near me still has the 80/90s branding alongside the current one on a little sign that sticks out the wall.

It's quite odd seeing both old and new within feet of each other: -
