In almost all cases it wasn't through choice it was what the current models were at the time that made sense value for money wise. Why spend 1000 on a G4 Imac when 1100 got you a G5 :/

This was after even the "are you sure it's not your desktop wallpaper" rubbish. It's like, yeh fix it. It's faulty and not fit for purpose if I can't use the thing cos it's broke.
