Even that I'm beginning to question. About a year ago I'd have agreed wholeheartedly that macs win on the looks front. Then I converted my PC into a mac skin (using Flyakite OSX) and enjoyed it for the first 5-6 weeks, but then missed the Windows look, and I've never looked back having deleted it. I'm now thinking about going with a Dell and then using the spare money to buy a digital SLR camera.
However, it's ever-so-slightly annoying that the same laptop in the "good ole" US of A costs about £850 rather than £1,100! Shocking! I could fly to New York and back to get one and still have change...

But you have voltage etc to worry about, wrong keyboard layout etc etc.

laptopshop.co.uk and laptops-direct.co.uk sell them, the latter are excellent. When I ordered my Acer with them a couple of years ago (pre-Mac) I phoned at 3pm and it arrived at 9am the next day.
If you decide on a PC, whatever you do it's good advice to wait for a laptop installled with Vista as OEM (pre-installed).
