With advice from her close friends General Pinochet, Conrad Black, and Geoffrey Archer, all who have been charged with criminal activity?

Birds of a feather? Or just like minded individuals?

You REALLY ARE having a bad weekend, aren't you, Jaron.

The gentleman to whom you refer is spelled with a J and not a G.

The second word is "off", you braindead idiot.

I fail to see why you'd want him to take his trousers off, Nick!

The way his (totally useless) brain and his typing fingers are failing to co-ordinate in the last few days, I doubt he'd be any the less agile with his trousers round his ankles.

So a convicted criminal is a gentleman is he? That is not the usual Conservative view on felons.

At least we are all agreed on the type of company that Madame T kept, ie criminal or alleged criminal, accused of murder and kidnapping.

Well I see it's not been picked up yet, but the Lords have accepted a deal that means anyone applying for a passport before January 1st, 2010, won't have to get an ID card. They will, however, have to submit biometric information to be stored on the passport and - yes, you've guessed it - on the national register too!

In all honesty I can't see it being a hell of a lot better, but at least for the next 13.75 years the police won't be able to demand my papers on the spot.

Unless...

Since it's the Register that I principally oppose (although I'm not too happy about the card either), this isn't good news!
