As the government of the Dear Leader is taking steps to introduce screening of rail passengers,

<http://news.bbc.co.UK/2/hi/uk_news/4434302.stm>

how much longer will it be before "permits to travel" are introduced because of the war time situation (viz the Global War on Terrorism)?

And if you think plain old biometric data compulsory identity cards are scarey, just wait until carrying the next generation card, the RFID, becomes compulsory.

There's not a chance in hell that people would allow microchips to be embedded under their skin!

And then get busted by the ID Cops, just like RMS did at the UN World Summit on the information society at Tunis conference?

One company already thinks that there is a market for "concerned" parents having their children chipped.

<http://www.wired.COM/news/technology/0, ... 71,00.html>

According to two web sites, using an AP source, judicial workers in Mexico have already undergoing chipping.

<http://www.prisonplanet.COM/articles/ju ... lanted.htm>

And UK of GB & NI companies were thinking about this years ago (May 1999).

From <http://www.geoffmetcalf.com/wndarchive/19544.html>
On May 10, 1999, the Windsor Star in Canada ran an article by Stephan Bevan of Britain's London Times entitled "Chips May Dip Into Workplace Sanity" which began, "Big brother could soon be watching from the inside. Several British companies are consulting scientists on ways of developing microchip implants for their workers to measure their timekeeping and whereabouts. The technology, which has been proven on pets and human volunteers, would enable firms to track staff. The data could enable them to draw up estimates of workers' efficiency and productivity."
And let us not forget the nightclubbers in Spain who are paying to join a scheme to get chipped.

No, just unjustifiably optimistic. :(

I really do hope that the Tories get back in at the next election. We need a decent Government back in who has got bottle and balls.

Bring back Maggie Thatcher, she knows how to sort this country out.

So you want the tories, who by a large supported this idea, but you also think they're incapable of leading without an old fossil not long for this world returning?

0/10 for coherency!
