The opening shot looked a bit weird

Kirsty didn't say goodbye to Breakfast News after all

Was it something to do with this lot being brought in again?

Looking at Newsnight online it's probably down to Review using the Newsnight sofa set and the main programme requiring a sofa for the discussion. Though the red really clashes with the purple

I don't understand why they don't use their usual cop-out of 4 seats instead of that garish thing.

Which brings me onto my next question.

Is Nick Harvey Thor?

I refuse to answer that, on the grounds that now isn't exatly a good time to be talking about Danish Gods.

There's a lot of timesharing going on at the moment.

The God of Peace, for instance, who timeshares with the God of Placard Writing.

Speaking of new studios, I remember a great post from someone a while back when we were talking about N24:
Yes, I think there will be a trailer, and I think it's important that they get it right.

I think they need to get all the presenters being lowered into the new studio on ropes from the ceiling. Jane Hill could be lowered on to the desk, Mawhinney could be dropped on the carpet and Wollydoodah could just be lowered straight into the bin. Then Chris Eakin, Philip Hayton and Peter Sissons could emerge through the floor to stand in front of the desk, arms crossed, looking threatening.

Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams could then appear in best evening wear, holding a sign saying how great the new News 24 is going to be while bickering about whether they like the new studio or not.

Perfect. Perfect I tell you. And not at all tacky (!!)
