I said you live in Hope! Even if it's not true literally it's true figuratively :P

I said you live in Pity Me. Is the smell so bad it's affecting your reading?

Nope, but I think it's affecting your ability to write things that make sense.

Strange person!

He's found heaven in a telephone exchange.

Please see the other thread about it being hell if your broadband connection goes down.

Actually, according to Durham County Council, the name of the village Pity Me, has nothing to do with pity, but is a corruption of the French name.

From
<http://www.durham.gov.UK/DurhamCC/usp.n ... y+Me+Carrs>
It is thought that the settlement name of Pity Me owes its origin to a former lake on the site known as "Petit Mere".
And as you can see from the pictures at the web site, the area is one of outstanding beauty, no matter what others might claim.

Perhaps one should pity those who live not far from Pity Me in No Place though?

yes good old No Place, there's a sign pointing to it as you go into Beamish.

Pity Me's claim to fame is it houses Northumbrian Water's cutsomer service centre.
