I remember back in 1998 a Filet-o-Fish and small fries was £1.69 because I used to buy it all the time. It's now £2.78 - a massive increase. And they've even made that square of cheese into a strip of cheese by cutting it in half.

It was always a 1/2 slice of cheese.

Did you know the Fillet-o-fish was invented by a franchisee in the UK as he was worried that not enough people were visiting his store on a friday. (there was a large cathloic population in the area)

who advised you to register for vat? is this a new business?

that's an unnecessary expense - is your business really going to have a taxable turnover of £60,000 in the next month?

VAT registration numbers on the foot of any company documentation gives the purchaser a feeling of confidence when working with a sole trader. Especially when dealing with "talent", be it v/o, cabaret or other performance related work.

It may be an unneccessary expense in the actuality of the business, but it can help secure contracts.
