BDJSSE was not a moderator
Would you rather I step down, then?

(Even though I haven't actually done any moderating for about a week!)

you're welcome. I'd just like to clarify I was not alledging anything against Mr Green, unlike Jamez
You're wrong actually, James 'Man of many faces' Hall.

I made no allegations at all. I asked a question - as they would do in a court of law.

I don't recall BDJSSE receiving so much flak for posting similar comments - but then again I'm brash enough to post them under my true identity.
why do so many dickheaddish things then accuse me of changing my opinion on you after you've done them?

Because it's fun and adds a bit of spice to the place.

If I weren't here you'd all be content with posting pictures of trains etc.

That's twice you've accused somebody of something libellous though.

That's not adding "a bit of spice to the place".

It's accusing somebody else of something very wrong which I didn't see the provocation for in the first place (and yes, I've read the post in question).

You KNEW this was the reaction you were going to get but now it's a case of we're all talking about you in a bad way rather than a good way.

But a question to the rest of MP's members; what CAN Jamez do to redeem himself in your gorgeous eyes?

Seems like a good excuse for ...

How about admitting he has made mistakes, apologizing for them, and applying the same standards to his postings that he is supposed to enforces to those of others?

I don't 'know' the personalities involved here but I do have a considerable experience of Internet Message boards - I suppose in total over the past 6-7 years I've made well over 20,000 posts here and there.

A useful escape valve that might be useful here would be that any protagonists get together (via e-mail or MSN) and agree to voluntarily withdraw from posting for a short period (say a fortnight) to enable tempers and indeed temperatures to drop - I know from experiences that it works well. It enables others to get on without possibly inflammatory input. It has worked well on some boards that I have visited in the past. Usually the issues either disappear or become irrelevant to discussions after the time-out.

Accusations against each other don't really help either.

I'd offer my services as a go-between if it would help. Alternatively tell me to P*** O** out of the discussiion. (in private though please)

Good Luck in sorting this out though.

Wrong.

My role as mod is SIMPLY to stop trolls and robot usernames posting crap on here. You're all welcome to slag off, accuse and fight with anyone you like.

As for apologising - then I do apologise for any offence caused, but remember I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I asked a question to which there is a yes or no answer.

Am I on List 99? Nope.

Simple.

Fair enough.

But neither is it your position to tar someone else's reputation by asking them in public if they are on a certain list when they work with children. And even if it was in jest, it's a seriously tasteless thing to do. If I were in his position, I would be quite offended that people would say such a thing, particularly a moderator of a forum that has been appointed by the administrator.
