Having a few more days off, I'm pondering whether to bring back the infamous Identz website.

It's been 4 years and 2 weeks since it went offline, and I think it would be interesting to see it back.

I wouldn't go to the trouble of caputuring videos etc., but I've got a shedload of stuff just gathering dust on several CDR's next to me, so it would be a shame not to share it.

I still own the identz.co.uk domain, and although I intend to use that domain later next year for business purposes, I don't see any reason for not bringing it back from the dead, now that TV Home has snuffed it!

Opinions!

Go on, you know you want to. ;)

I was one of those that discovered TVF just as Identz closed. And when the whole hedgehog online/bbc newsroom debacle started.

4 Years! Oh My God. That Long... that's worrying. As for the idea, I think it would be great, I mean thats esentially how I started my *collection* and for the new young-un's on TVF it's almost impossible to get anything anymore.

I try to have a free sharing thing with my MSN contacts, it's a good way of getting newer and I don't really mind sharing my stuff at all, it's only when someone PM's me every 3mins asking that I tend not to.

But i'd love for identz to make a return, and if you need any content :P But would you "watermark" them for fear of the wrath of the BBC and Co?

Identz i suppose could return as some sort of improved Private Parts facility, but then again there'd be all of the new people posting up tripe.

I'd love to see Identz return.

Oh please let it return. It was one of the funniest things ever.

(We won't get the horrid copyright lady on though will we?)

No copyright announcements planned at the moment, but a .txt information file to warn of copyright.

Cannot believe it's over four years. Makes me fooking old.

Twenty? I'm going to be in a home soon.

I can't remember if it was Identz or Isonstine I got my BBC news and ident themes from. Probably a mixture of both sites - and as such I hold them in high regard internet-wise. Truly a very enjoyable set of themes they are, and I have migrated them several times from PC to PC.

It would be great if the tunes didn't have a copyright V/O on them, purely so that fans like me can get a truly fabulous experience of a high quality clean theme.

I know there are all kinds of copyright matters that we should be mindful of, but telly themes really are only enjoyed by fans, and as such I think there should be a certain amount of "fair useage" discretion.

A .txt file seems like a mighty fine compromise, and would get you my approval (whatever that's worth).
