What are the others, then?
The fact that I'm not gay, perhaps?
Overlooked again

Well, you're obviously homophobic because you object to some fat ugly old bloke asking you for sex while you're out doing your shopping. :roll:Jamez wrote:What are the others, then?

Everyone hears what you say,
Friends listen to what you say,
Best friends listen to what you don't say.

If i may stick my twopenneth worth in.
I kind of understand Jamez's predicament, while not on the same scale, i was a little unnerved when Dusty bones used my surname in the mediawebsites forum. My fault somewhere in the depths of this forum i posted it. I wish i had never done it. I just didn't count on some weirdo joining up with nothing better to do with his time than trawl through pages upon pages of idle banter to attack us.
This character maybe relatively harmless but the next one may not be. If Jamez has chosen to remove any traces of his identity from future members and potential weirdos then where's the problem, we know who he is. Considering recent events with Mr. Serial Username i do not blame him.
I am seriously considering removing my f/p profile. This has highlighted the risks of the internet to me. I may be overreacting but what the hell i don't want what happened to Jamez happening to me.

Mental anxiety, Mental breakdowns, Menstrual cramps, Menopause... Did you ever notice how all our problems begin with Men?
I hope the sarcasm came across in my last post.Jamez wrote:Oh purlease!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm not homophobic in the slightest!

OK then, my name's James Steve Ison - born 20th May 1985 - I'm a freelance journalist from the Midlands (Nuneaton to be precise) - I spent some time down in London and fully intend to do so again. I have black hair, brown eyes, am gay and without love.Si-Co wrote:Sorry, James Ison, but it's merely coming across as sour grapes.
Why not lead by example?
You see, some of us aren't afraid to be ourselves.
Good Lord!

When I registered with my own name on TVF many years ago I didn't consider what the implications of that would be. I have friends who google search my name to see what I've been talking about on the net, and then drop it into conversations. Most alarming. Registering without pseudonym also means I can't be wicked bad and say things I could be held to account for later.
But I made my choice and I have to live with it.
Short of a memory wipe device there is nothing we can do about knowing each other's names. Please show due respect to others wishes about the use of that name though.
I know it's tough. I can barely say Charlie Wells or James "Mental" Martin without all sorts of images conjuring in my mind. It will be difficult to not use "Luxton" as an insult.
But we must try, people.
