Common sense, eh? The average computer novice usually cannot distinguish between an official OS dialogue box and a fake one produced by "malware". Put yourself in the position of a new computer user. What would you do if a box on your computer said "Your computer may be at risk - press 'Yes' for immediate protection"?
Mac OS X is elegant, but I just can't get used to it, it's very fiddly.
Windows XP randomly crashes, but is easy to use.
I'm currently using Mac OSX 86 on one hard drive and Windows Vista and XP on seperate partitions. I only use Mac when either Windows crashes. Mac is extremely stable. Having seen Windows Vista they are trying to copy Apple by making effects on windows, transparency etc. I don't like that. On my 3Ghz computer Windows Vista is slow with all the effects due to DWM, perhaps the end product would be better.
