One for you photographers out there; does anyone know how I can get traffic in my image to go into streaks, like in the picture below?

What settings do I need to adjust on my camera, or what software do I need to use to get the desired effect?

Thanks :)

You need to be able to keep the shutter open for an extended period - not all cameras will allow you to do this.

Perhaps you should get it fixed again ;)

Mine too has a mode that goes up to 15 seconds - obviously it's very sensitive at these times so it needs to be dark and also the camera must be perfectly still throughout.

Hang on, you've posted the wrong image - surely you were intending to post a pic of yourself? ;)

Actually I *do* and am not paying for it as it's wifi. Broadband proper is activated this week anyway so what you're actually doing is comparing YOUR wait for it to MY wait for it.

And MY wait for it is going significantly fabber! Anyway at least I know my hardware will work :P Actually I broke my router by uploading the wrong firmware so thanks for not buying my spare :)

I tried it this evening whilst I was out. OK, it helps if you get a road with lots of traffic going at speed and not stopping in the distance, but here's my effort: -
