Hmmm, let me get this straight . .

iPod mini - 6GB (discontinued) - £169 . . . iPod mini 4Gb (discontinued) - £139

To be replaced with:

iPod nano - 4GB (new release) - £179 . . . iPod mini 2GB (new release) - £139

Essentially, you're paying a lot more, and getting a lot less. Apple, why must you keep ripping us off like this?

At least there'll soon be plenty of cut priced iPod minis available to buy

However Apple are probably making less money on the Nano as flash storage is very highly priced at the moment.

Well Apple can get away with this sort of thing because people sometimes have more money than sense. Take for example, the iPod shuffle - it has very little in terms of features but they can still make a reasonable killing on it.

It's pretty much a USB stick with some sound decoding and other circuits attached.
