Yeah erm I know this thread will prolly be in total style of Tiramisu, but,
Has anyone ever flown by singapore airlines? When we goto Australia, which is pretty soon might i add, we'll probably be going by them, but only with one stopover! 12 hours on an plane, quick stop and to go through it all again which im not looking forward too.
Would anyone say there safe? the last thing i want is my loverly music to be interuppted by a big bang.
We're trying to avoid the gulf, obviously and singapore seems to be the best option.
anyone reccomend an airline longhaul? or has anyone ever used singapore?
Singapore Airlines

Oh dear, I wouldn't go with them if you paid me, I can recall many stories of how they blu-tack the wings on, and the food on board is rubbish. You're going to die I'm afraid. Been nice knowing you.

Erm... Do you actually get a say who you fly with, Cheese Head? Afterall, I very much doubt it's you thats going to be forking out the hundreds and hundreds of pounds for the tickets.
As Phil said, you're going to die. At least you'll leave a beautiful dismembered corpse somewhere in the Indian Ocean.

Actually, I've personally found Singapore Airlines to be exceptional. Their safety standards are extremely high, they have one of the most trusted engineering departments in the industry, and they own a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic.
The food is good in Raffles Class and Economy Class, the service is perfectly adequate, and the whole experience is simply very good. Other airlines do it better, certainly - but I can't fault really fault Singapore Airlines for anything in particular, and others I know who have flown with Singapore have found it to be a similarly pleasurable experience.
Generally, I've found that the only people who have a bad word to say about the airline are those who haven't personally flown with them, and who have little or no idea of how good the service is.

Well, I personally dont make the overall decision, but I am not left totally in the dark.
My parents were given (I was with them at the time, kind of) a list of prices with airlines. We actually went with singapore airlines. came to just under or over i cant remember, 500 pounds pp.
I'm told the longest longhaul flights get more basically. I am kinda looking forward to it, but in three weeks ill be living in another country!

I can reccommend Oceanic Airlines if you are flying to/from Australia. I flew with them and it was a blast.
