I use ebay every couple of days and I don't think my watch list is ever empty

I've just bought two new sets of rechargeable batteries for £14 compared to the £30 elsewhere. Lovely

So do you use ebay to buy or sell?

What a banal thread. Asking on an INTERNET forum how many people use one of the most popular sites in the world?

EDIT: I can't leave it there! What did you expect, a list of people saying "yes"?

For a second there I read that as "I brought my girlfriend on eBay" Most of my junk is from ebay, my mixer, mic, laptop, camcorder mic, I use it a fair bit, mainly buying but I've sold stuff in the past.

I'm wary of those things that are mega cheap, but sky high P&P and say "Shipped from Hong Kong"

Has anyone successfully got anything from a page that says that?

Plenty. You're paying peanuts for the product and the postage charge from Hong Kong (about £5-10) is generally justified. All in all the product is far far cheaper than you'd be able to buy on the shelf in this country.

Plus buy several things at once from the same seller and you can normally get a combined shipping price.
Another question about these products being shipped from over the hills and far away - what's the policy on returns? Do these sellers offer any sort of warranty with the product should it break down?

I bought an old Shell oil drum, bought a laptop and sold it again when it broke (which it will, on ebay), the knightmare board game, various records and videos that you can't buy in shops.

I sold a load of model daleks and other who models that made a tiny profit.

I've got tons of stuff from Hong Kong on ebay - it's not dodgy at all
