The media pays shite money, which is an established fact (except for those few who either run the media or are famous faces of it).

I know many of us here work in various sectors and earn wildly varying amounts of money, I'm just curious as to what jobs there are out there that pay the most for the least effort ;)

I'm currently in the process of setting up my own company (the BBC have missed their chance to have me), which is going to cost a small fortune what the shedload of studio equipment I'm going to need on my side.

One thing you need to know James. Any new business is going to take maximum effort to get it off the ground. Only once you're established and have staff, can you afford to put in less hours.

When i first opened my salon, i was working six days a week 10-12 hrs a day, with only a weeks holiday at Christmas.

Good luck with your new venture!

Anything handy! Plumbers, electricians and that kinda thing are really in demand as no-one wants to do it. Takes a good couple of years to train BUT you can be on over 30,000 a year for 4 day weeks after not too long.

Setting up a company is going to take a wee bit of time I'd wager, so might as well have a fallback. Besides it might all turn into a 70s porn film when you visit single women to fix the bog!

I was thinking of making a subscription porn site and paying drunk girls to strip for the camera and pay them, and then make a shedload from the site.

What ya reckon? Cardiff girls have no inhibitions...none. Maybe James Martin should come down here for the weekend! ;)

I believe I may be spending a weekend in Cardiff in early October.

Me and a mate from my uni's radio station are thinking about starting something along the lines of http://www.durtygirls.com/ (WARNING: Link content may offend) as a pocket-liner and also to give a cut as a charitable donation to our radio station.

If you fancy coming on board Jamez, PM me, maybe we can all work together.

Has s/he ever actually run one?

I don't know one business (including mine) that runs to plan, and I have over 600 business punters.

According to my business plan for 2005, I am around £23,000 behind where I should be. :?
