Crazy Frog: Now you've gone too far!

Any person who enjoys every Crazy Frog is either my Dad or needs a doctor.

It's latest ringtones are the DJ editions, and began with the original. Not bad, and then brung us the Popcorn Remix. I found it fantastic, but now they have Pump Up The Jam and others, but are all in the "same style" as the Popcorn one. (ie. the same crazy frog noises)

And yet, there's now a game for your mobile phone in which you keep the Crazy Frog as a PET! Whoa, RSPCA, shoot me if you have to...

Why can't they give us some good stuff like Stevie Wonder, all actual ringtones that aren't songs or demented animals?

I hope they don't decide to "Crazy Frog" something like "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Stairway to Heaven".

Then I would know that the world is going to end soon.

Pump Up The Jam?!? If Technotronic were still around, they should sue!

What next . . . a Crazy Frog version of "No Limit" by 2Unlimited ?!?

I'd hate to admit it, but I think that could be the next one.

As someone once said to me, for every product, there's always some mug out there who'll buy it.

I've only just recovered from Rolf Harris covering both of those songs.

Good news . . . the Advertising Standards Authority have taken some action against Jamster, and banned the
utterly stupid and irritatingly awful Crazy Frog ringtone ads from appearing on TV before the 9pm watershed.
Although it's not the outright ban that most of want to see, it's definitely a step in the right direction!

Here's a couple of snippets from an article at TheRegister.co.uk . . .
ASA stamps on Crazy Frog TV ads
No amphibians before 9pm, says watchdog

The UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned Crazy Frog
adverts from appearing on British TV before 9 O'clock in the evening
in an effort to protect children from his tuneless squeaking.
80 people complained that Jamster adverts did not make clear they were
selling a subscription service rather than soliciting a one-off payment.
Some 244 people complained that the ad was aimed at children; 33
complained that their kids had downloaded ringtones and they
had subsequently received large phone bills.

I've noticed the T&Cs have stopped scrolling and are now static. better but still too jargony to make kids notice.
