Disk Defragment

Being a new user with Windows XP, I am about to do a Disk Defragment. With my previous OS, Windows ME, I just clicked Start and it went. With this though, I have a choice of either "Analyze" or "Defragment".

Can you please tell me what I should do, as I am not 100% sure. Thanks ;)

Analyse first, then it'll probably tell you not to bother, but you can do it anyway :)

But if it tells you not to bother, it's best to click on Start, then Run, then type in "Format C:".

That'll improve your future posting quality.

Why Nick, you are a cold, calculated, callous and very fuzzy man. Don't ever change!

Ask the man with the megaphone!

To be honest I'd steer clear of XP. Windows 3.1 is where it's at mate.

Type FDisk, press 3, press 1, type in the volume label, press Y, press enter.

Guaranteed to improve posting ability.

Yeah, do that then install MS-DOS 6.22, it's much better and will help you to make much better posts.
