Nose, lip, chin or anywhere else I don't like it. I just don't get tounge piercings at all!!

(perhaps this could be a new topic..?)
You don't get tongue piercings! :o

I had my ear pierced at the top. It caused me nothing but grief. I persisted for quite sometime for vanity reasons only. After about a year i gave up and let it heal. It maybe that experience that put me off bodypiercings.
I like tongue piercings, but im too scared to ever get it done myself.

I really think that when it comes to Tattoos and piercings there is a huge problem with inequality. its always a case of pirecings are for women and tatoos are predominatly male. I actually got sent home from school for having my ear pierced.

I also had my ear pierced at the top, but the parlour( /hairdresser) used a gun on the top, and AFAIK guns are only meant to be used on lobes. Eitherway, I had the stud an eventually chnaged it to a ring so it would heal better. It never did, i gave up and took it out, and its now just a small infected lump at the top of my ear. nice.

Ill get my lip done anyway, and when i get bored of it ill take it out.

I originally wanted my nose done and still do, if i had money left whilst at download i woulda got it done there, but ohwell, theres next payday. and i want some scaffolding and my right lobe pierced too...

What do folks think here of "Body Art" ?

Before I go...: I saw Society 1 live at download, the lead singer tried to, and suceeded in doing so, sing a full live set whilst being suspended in the air by meathooks. looked cool, bet it hurt like hell...

(these arnt download pics, afaik)

Ugh.

Oh, and on the issue of piercing guns, yes, they're only for ear lobes. There was something in the paper about a girl who had a collapsed ear after getting the top pierced with a gun.

I did go get my lip pierced today. It was a good experience - if not a little unnerving as he chewed gum whilst puncturing the left side of my lip with a needle...

It's about piercings and tattoos.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

It's all a display of insecurity. Tattoos & piercing are a simple way for people to 'reinvent' themselves usually after being dumped by a boyfriend/girlfriend they were really into.
