Bored of nights out - anyone the same?

I normally love going out. Getting drunk with friends, having a laugh, having some chats and then chasing totty a little later.

It's got a bit samey of late though.

When you guys go out, do you try to vary your routes as much as possible to keep it fresh?

What's your perfect night out with friends?

I don't get the bloody chance recently for it to get samey! I think it does help to vary your route, but I tend to enjoy the company of people more than be very bothered about the surroundings.

Spent a pleasant time on the canal bank outside the real version of this pub yesterday evening, with friends who live on a boat.

i agree entirely, in fact, the default place everyone goes to in kings lynn (the globe) used to be fully packed every saturday night - now, it's about half what it was.

i haven't seen a number of regulars in there for a few months, it seems people are finally getting bored of spending £50 just to throw it up a few hours later.

i haven't been out on a major bender with the lads for a long long time, and i don't really have a desire to do so, when i do go out, i just would rather be at home with the missus. (i'm only ever go out without her when she's working).

some of my best nights out have been parties around friends houses, such as the summer bbq or house party. i'm so bored of night clubs, they're just full of bainless people. i truely feel sorry for those who are in their 30's / 40's / 50's that you see out every weekend trying to get some gash/winky action. what a dull insular life they must have.

I was invited to a party at a club in Norwich to celebrate my 20th birthday, free entry and booze for me and up to twelve others. It would've been nice if I had received the invite before the party and not after it. I wouldn't have gone anyway, a) it's a club, b) it's in Norwich, and c) I don't drink. Much.

I prefer a quiet meal out somewhere, or staying in and cooking something myself. Just give me a nice hard rolling pin, a big slab of meat and a naked chef (no, not Lesley Waters), and I'll be well on my way.

I'm the same. I don't know if it's because I'm getting old, but I'd rather have a quiet night in with the boyfriend. He cooks food that's better than in the average restaurant, and the wine's cheaper.

I suppose also being in a relationship means that going on the pull is no longer part of the attraction of a night out. Having said that when I do go for a night out, I enjoy it more for not doing so as often.
