Probably Guernsey - I've always been fascinated by the Channel Islands. Apparently like England but without the faults.
Failing that, Iceland seems very interesting.
If you left Britain where would you move to

I have a friend from Iceland. Seems like a fun place. Every Friday night EVERY young person congregates in the city square and has a gathering.
For most of the Winter though they don't venture out the house and have food etc delivered. That might be a bit grim.
No heating bills though as all the homes are heated by underground volcanic springs.
Apparently.

Am I right in thinking though that Scandinavian nations have a markedly high suicide rate? It may not be such a fun place to live after all.Gavin Scott wrote:I have a friend from Iceland. And London has the highest suicide rate in the UK. Not surprising really, it really is a shit hole. American tourists must be very disapointed when they visit.DAS wrote:Am I right in thinking though that Scandinavian nations have a markedly high suicide rate? London is a wonderful city! There are far worse places to live.Jamez wrote:And London has the highest suicide rate in the UK. Not surprising really, it really is a shit hole. But I don't think anything will beat Birmingham - and the Black Country of course. The people there are amazing.
Good Lord!
Wouldn't mind living on the Scilly Isles, or Scillia as they like to call themselves now.johnnyboy wrote:Probably Guernsey - I've always been fascinated by the Channel Islands. Apparently like England but without the faults.

I might agree with you but for her personal good fortune. She was in my year at drama school. Very talented. Such a small place her homeland is, her brother was a rock star whilst her mother was a soap opera star. Everything to live for then, if you like that sort of thing.DAS wrote:Am I right in thinking though that Scandinavian nations have a markedly high suicide rate? Oh, and I just google searched her (as it's been years since we spoke).

She's pretty, too.

Oh yes she is.
Massive cans, too.
Not that I care about such things.
