Having just looked at some images of the user interface of the upcoming XBOX 360 . . .

. . . I'm somewhat rather tempted to get one!

I can't help noticing that it's video output is in 16:9, with some screens having 4:3 safe areas too!

Read the BetaNews article here, or see all the screenshots here . . .

is it running a custom version of windows media centre or something?

personally, i'm rather looking forward to the ps3 - ms have cut a few technological corners in trying to get it out first, which, like nintendo did this time will probably lead to a massive drop in take up of the machine.

PS3: Getting as it seems to have the same great features as the PSP
Revolution: Getting as by what Nintendo say at E3, they seem very trustworthy, and downloads from NES, SNES and N64 games are avaliable

Xbox 360: Not getting, 1. I don't trust Microsoft, and 2. the genre of games played on Xbox I do not like
Gameboy Micro: Not getting, it's pointless, seeing as the DS is already released

It may do, but note that the Xbox 360 has an IBM PowerPC CPU, not an Intel x86.

Edit: From the Wikipedia article:
The system was later shown off at the E3 event, but it was later discovered that the demos on the consoles at the event were not running on the 360 at all, but on some Apple PowerMac G5s.

There is a gallery of Xbox 360 pics (games) at http://www.winsupersite.com/. I do have to say, those graphics are very good.
