Youth: "Why do you keep stopping me anyway?"

PC: Don't tell me to f*** off. You know why, It's because you're a f***** rapist and I hate you.

Youth: Why are you calling me a rapist for? What are you saying that for? Are you... laughing? What's wrong with you? What are you saying that for?

PC: Shut the f*** up.

Youth: Hey, don't be silly, Hey, what did you say? Sorry go on, go on, go on.

PC: If you say one more f****** word, I'll smash your f****** Arab face in. Do you understand?

Youth: Just leave me alone, man.

PC: Just shut the f*** up, you c***, otherwise I'm going to smash your f****** face in. [Laughter] 'Cause you're a f****** robbing, raping arsehole.

PC: You won't swear at me again, sunshine, and this isn't one that you won't f****** get off of at court because I'll write it up properly.

when i heard this on the news today, i was shocked. i'd like to think that such outbursts are isolated cases, but are they?

do any fellow metropollers have tails of police racism or other ignorance?

is it any wonder the hardly anybody has respect for the police anymore? one of my friends reported a drunk driver to our local force just a few weeks ago and the police never turned up. i wonder if we said, "hey, we've got an arab here for you to kick the shit out of - fancy coming along?" they'd have come out?

also, why can't you report a a crime to crime stoppers from a mobile?

On the one hand, I like and respect the fuzz. They do a difficult job under tough circumstances.

However, I used to be involved with a CCTV company. A recently-released ex-con viciously assaulted a young woman, in full view of the camera.

They knew who he was. The poor girl was petrified and feared reprisals against herself. The police refused to take action because she didn't want to press charges.

In my eyes, that is dereliction of duty. The state, in the form of the police, should have stepped in, arrested and charged him.

I always hate that when people refuse to press charges they won't arrest them.

If they have the f***ing evidence then they should nick them.
