Sorry for the quality of these images (one of those warm, wet, steamy days) but this is what the Milton Keynes main Abbey branch looks like after its third refurbishment in 24 months.

The signage is awful - top lit rather than backlit so looks like a chip shop. Anyway, much better than the previous fascia which was, I kid not, bright pink.

Blimney, someone else from Milton Keynes!

I might be wrong but I don't think they have changed the logo on their main head office building further down the city centre by the Hockey stadium/train station.

Head Office signs (all eight of them) are still pale green and the sign on the Genisis building is clear perspex with the logo etched into it. You can hardly see the logo.

I don't like the current one & prfer this newer one although to me the best one will always be the man & woman under the umbrella.

I really hate all the "font" logos where there is no symbol at all. A symbol makeas a company decognisable, lettering doesn't.

However there are exceptions to this ruel : LWT, HTV, TSB & MFI a few examples

Abbey's website has now been updated with the new look. Or, at least, the new logo has been somewhat plonked onto the site in place of the old one. abbey.com

I like that one, the way it fades is quite cool imo.
Aaah, hyma, you made the mistake of linking to the real web site logo!

People will be on your tail wondering what the heck you like about it :P

The updated website is a complete mess - the previous "friendly" colours and graphics with the stern new logo.

Also, is it just me or have they been unable to match the background colours of the graphics with the table backgrounds or use transparency? I see lots of red rectangles against a slightly orange background.

I think the new logo is shit. I've never liked Abbey but the old logo was better.
