Election 2005
Bleedin' hell, Warrington South is STILL Labour, they got 18,000 odd votes and the Tories got 15,000 odd votes!
Not very happy considering Labour have been crap in our area and not once have I seen them out wanting our vote.

Well, what a great election that was then.
It's given us a lame duck Prime Minister, and a lame duck Leader of the Opposition.

It was just three, rather than five, wasn't it?Jamez wrote:I saw my ex-girlfriends mother standing as the Lib Dem candidate! She missed coming second place by just 5 votes!
5,678 against 5,681.
The Conservative candidate, Richard Benyon won our seat with a 5% swing, the Liberal Democrat candidate, David Rendel lost after 12 years in power.
I voted LIBERAL DEMOCRAT!!

New Labour loyalist robot managed to hang on by just under 800 votes where I am. I was hoping their would be enough votes to get rid of the tosser. The Conservative probably would have taken the seat if it wasn't for UKIP, what a bunch of spoiling cunts. Good thing is that the Conservatives managed to snatch one of the two County Council divisions in my town off Labour.
There was no doubt that Labour would stay in power here (Durham NW), but I'm very happy that the Tories have lost a lot of support here and in all neighbouring areas bar one (Bishop Aukland, up 0.2%). The other place that I live in, in the Blaydon constituency, had only 8% votes supporting the Tories. Lib Dems are up here by 5% and everywhere bordering Durham NW by at least 4% and by 15% in Durham City.
