That would be rather counter-productive, wouldn't it?
Nothing you'd die for then?
Well, certainly not the vote. As I understand it, dead people don't get to vote, except in certain key marginals.

I've put my tick in the box. I've decided to base my vote on local issues since when ever I think national policy with any of the big three, I seem come to no clear conclusion. So I am hoping for a Lib Dem victory in New Forest East on the basis that on local issues, Liberal Democrats seem to have somewhat of an edge IMO.

Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned previously in this thread and quite frankly I can't be arsed to find out...but is anyone stopping by the election room chatroom tonight?
I say it only because I'm good looking...

I also had nobody bother to come round to my door. There are a few basic posters up but not saturation like in 2001. No wonder people don't bother when the canidates don't care

They all delivered me some nice leaflets. Some from dyslexics and some not.

The only one who rang my doorbell was a Labour chap. Not the candidate, somebody on her behalf.

That was the one pointless point in the campaign, as a Labour win round here is about as likely as the Welsh Nationalist winning in Guernsey.

I have put my kiss in a box.

The woman at the desk didn't seem impressed as I went stomping in to the theme tune of Amarillo, a la "This Week" and threw my pink feather boa over her.

Oh well. After 5 weeks of endless campaigning, it's all a bit of an anti-climax.

I've cast my vote. I'm not going to reveal who i voted for because i feel i may have shot myself in both feet.
At work today i asked people if they had cast their vote and every first time voter, all of whom were male, said they are not going to bother voting. The reasons being: Dosen't matter who wins we're always gonna have to pay taxes, i don't understand politics and Tony Blair will win anyway.

One young lad inparticular after telling me this, then proceeded to complain about his wage ( minimum) and i told him that if he had listened, just a little bit to their campaign promises and Labours in particular the minimum wage will rise.
As you all know i am no pro with politics but i tried to make clear to him that, you can't make a difference unless you cast your vote and ignorance of politics dosen't mean you shouden't vote.
He seemed to listen and i really hope he took a walk to his polling station to put an X in a box.
As for the other yong lads i told them " Don't complain about the goverment or their decisions within the next 5 years then". I find it unthinkable not to vote but they really couden't care which i think is so sad.
I would have talked about those in the world who would give their right arm to have a chance to vote etc etc.. but apparently being opinionated is really, really bad for business.

Next decision to make..
What channel do i watch the election results on?
SKY or ITV..

Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! I can go one better...
I got a nice little hand written letter from the lib dems through my letterbox. Ok, so it was a handwritten one that had been copied several thousand times but the envelope had my full name and address hand written.
No candidates knocked on my door either. I'm quite relieved actually imagine the horror of opening your front door and coming face to face with Michael Howard.

We've had no-one at our doors, all we've had are aload of leaflets from the Tories and Lib Dems, and only the Tories and the Independent candidate were out campaigning. Considering that Warrington South is Labour, I haven't even seem them out at all. I went down to the Polling Station this morning and found myself being the only person under the age of 70 who was voting, but I was in and out in a minute.

Though I've seen little in my area, I had to go up to West Kirby Morrisons the other day and drove through that neck of the woods known as the Wirral, every other house had huge posters or signs for parties, it was also the area that former TV presenter Esther McVey is the Conservative candidate for.

We also had to go through Eccles tonight and even the Labour candidate was out in his car with the huge the megaphones, first time I've seen that happen in this Election.

Well where I live the Conservative Party candidate has produced numerous leaflets and newsletters, all good quality, about 4 in total, plus she came round and knocked on doors, sadly we were all out at the time. The Labour candidate has only put one leaflet and a scruffy photocopy through our door, and took David Blunkett along to the roughest council estate in the area

It's a marginal seat by the way at the 3.5% swing point. It'll be quite disapointing for the conservative candidate if she doesn't win

So Labour secures a third term then... 'round these parts Labour won with just a 900-vote majority against the LDs.

I still think that Britain should, like countries like Belgium, make voting compulsory.

I'm extremely happy to see 3 Conservative MP's in Wales now. Sadly, the same old Labour arsehole got back into my constituency in Carmarthen West & Pembrokeshire South. He beat the Conservative candidate by 1,900 votes.

Next time he'll be out!

God, I'm still furious that this country still had a vile Labour government this morning. Why are the people in this nation so void of intelligence?

Biggest shock for me came at 3.29am when the results for a south-east Wales seat came in and I saw my ex-girlfriends mother standing as the Lib Dem candidate!!! She missed coming second place by just 5 votes!

All in all, an exciting, but immensely frustrating night for me.

PS - had to piss myself with laughter at George Galloways interview with Paxman at 4am!  Pure class.
