its quite obvious that asa will soon be looking to fill the moderating vacancy once occupied by mrtomservo. i guess we can be quite sure he will not be holding elections like last time - but i thought perhaps, as the good people of the forum often have a lot to say about the running of the forum, it'd be preferable to put our cards on the table before the next mod is chosen. after all - many of us have been on the forum since the beginning, or nearly the beginning, so we are probably as qualified as anyone to make a judgement.
whether or not asa will take any notice is another matter. oh and its pointless suggesting yourself as a mod, as the people who want DESPERATELY to be moderators, generally are the type of people who would be far from suitable.
anyway - if i were in asa's position i would choose mr gavin scott. he has proven himself to be a great mod in this forum, and does not have ANY of the ‘qualities’ enjoyed by a certain mod over at the other place, that irritate so many members.
i agree that there are probably a great many young'uns over there that MAY turn out to be good, but why take the risk when we have a candidate with a proven track record
so what are your thoughts on the 4th mod? ...
TV Forum's Next Mod
yeah I can't stand Isonstine either. Gav would also be my first choice due to his excellence on here.tvmercia wrote:anyway - if i were in asa's position i would choose mr gavin scott. he has proven himself to be a great mod in this forum, and does not have ANY of the ‘qualities’ enjoyed by a certain mod over at the other place, that irritate so many members.

I fear we are going to get somebody bland and boring, that never rocks the boat, or puts a word out of turn, in other words, a forum nobody.
There are stacks of personalities on there, with proven track records, who have been around for ages, who deserve a shot.
I will be wearing my rosette featuring a picture of Nick Harvey or Gavin.

I would vote for James or Nick Harvey, personally.
Gavin would be an excellent candidate too.
If there is a 4th mod election in TVF, I would probably put myself up again, although I think I'd be as successful as last time!

Perhaps instead of a free-for-all election like last time there could be a conclave of forum elders who could be locked away until they had discerned the will of Nick Harvey.

I think the conclave of elders would be a good idea.
I would agree with Nick Harvey being a mod but I have to say I'd say no to Jamez. I think even without his history with Asa he's too impulsive. A reason why I don't think I'd be good. I'm too impatient and would want to ban people at the speed Kat locked threads.
