OK...
I've got a Pinnacle Rave PCTV card installed in my PC, and it's worked fine until recently. Whenever I open the software, it says it cannot open because either the hardware isn't connected (which it is, and i've checked) or theres a TWAIN driver (hehe, it sounds funny but i dont have a clue what it is) running and possibly causing a conflict with something else.
A few weeks ago I bought a TRUST 120 SPACECAM, and I went to install it and a box popped up saying that windows files have been replaced with unrecognised versions and it then wanted me to insert my Windows XP installation CD (which i dont have because the computer came pre-loaded with it).
It's all very confusing, so if anyone can help, please do!!!

Well, your webcams drivers must be messing with the TV card. You will also find, on nearly all computers that are brough with windows preloaded, a copy of the windows CD will be saved in C:\i368.
Pffh! fat lot of use having Windows on my hard drive is. Those files have been mucked around with by viruses too! :roll:Orry Verducci wrote:Well, your webcams drivers must be messing with the TV card. In my Start -> All Programs folder, there's an entry for "120 SP@CECAM", with just the uninstaller. I click on it, it eventually grinds into action, and then says "UNINSTALLING PC CAM AND DRIVER!". Then, it finishes and disappears, but it dosen't disappear from the Program list, and the uninstaller is still there when I look.
How do I remove all traces of a driver/software which I botched up on the first time I installed it?

Just delete them.
