What phones do you have/have you had?

I have had a few, for several reasons

Phillips C12 Aug 1999-Dec 2000 :- this was my first mobile which was £50. It was light had a clear screen (for the time) but had a poor signal. Had it on BT Cellnet "U" tariff

Nokia 5110 Dec 2000-Aug 2001 :- Brilliant phone, which it seems everybody had at one time or another (a few still going in East London). Never really had a problem with it except it was the old Vodafone "Pay as you go" tarrif where you had to pay £2.50 service charge (remember those days ;) ). Couldn't get it unchipped as it was hard to get anyone to do it back then.

Nokia 3210 Aug 2001-May 2002 :- Another good Nokia, one of the first without an external ariel. Big Screen nice spaced buttons although thinner it was taller than the 5110. Got this on Virgin Mobile (near enough when they first came out) & still have the same chip & although has been a bit tempremental about three times.

Nokia 3310 May 2002-Jan 2003 :- I did like this phone originally & got it second hand from my Aunt (who upgraded to 3330) however it wasn't really much diffrent to 3210. My dad ended up with it but then the clock went up the wall. Got fed up with it in the end because EVERYBODY HAD IT. Still some going in East London

Nokia 3510 Jan 2003-Feb 2004 :- My longest phone I have ever had. Nice bright screen (for the time) easy to use, unique looking (although looks a bit tacky now). Gave this one up becasue I wanted one with a camera in it. My dad now has this phone, still working fine.

Nokia 7250 Feb 2004-June 2004 :- I never had this one long because of the poor buttons near the top. Otherwise had good features but because of my fat hands I couldn't use it without hitting one of the other buttons (directional, soft keys or call buttons.)

Nokia 6610i June 2004-Present :- Absolutely brilliant phone, which although has been dropped several times still works great. Unfortunately the camera is of the same quality of the 7250 but once pics are taken you can zoom into the image to see if the picture is clear enough.

Nokia 3410 Aug 2004-Jan 2005 :- Second hand from my brother who had dropped it down the stairs threw it against a wall by mistake & charged it when it was only partially empty. I have two phones as someone gave me an O2 "Genie" chip (where you get 300 free texts a month). However the battery was becomeing more & more unreliable.

Nokia 2600 Jan 2005-Present :- Colour but cheap and not many features. I got this to replace the failing 3410. I didn't get a fancy one as I hope to update the 6610i later this year.

Motorola v33???? January 2000-January 2001

My first phone, cost me £69.99 at the time, but a few months later you could get them as low as £29.99. It did the job and it was one of the first to be able to have Text messages on them, and for the first few months they were free, but at the time very few had mobiles, so I couldn't really text.

Nokia 3310 January 2001-August 2003
Fantastic phone, I was one of the first people who I knew to get this phone, but within a year nearly everyone had this phone, it was fantastic, it had good games and text messaging was easier on this one. It cost me £99.99 from The Link at the time. Though it started to breakdown in Summer 2003, when I left it on charge overnight it wouldn't charge up, the charger wasn't faulty, neither was the battery, it was the main body of the phone, so I let it die a slow painful death.

Nokia 3510 December 2003-August 2004
This wasn't too much different from the 3310, except it was a bit bigger, had WAP, Colour screen and the body was orange and blue, otherwise it wasn't that exciting and was getting out of date quickly too.

Sony Ericsson T610 August 2004-Present
Great phone, it was on sale for £99.99, instead of £129.99, it does the main jobs, it can text, it does prictures and what have you, it's also alot lighter compared to the Nokia 3310. Even though I changed the SIM and kept the same number I was allowed 500 Free Text messages at weekends for 6 months, which was good, but now it ended. :(

And since I got my first phone I've always been on Orange Pay As You Go and never had any problems.

The Philips C12 was the first version of the Savvy, the above was the 2nd (possibly also known as C13) then there was another Savvy (also known as C14)

My first phone was a Sagem thingy c.2000 which had a funny shape to it.

The second was a Motorola C350

And the one I have now is a cheap old PAYG Sendo cameraphone which cost £44.99

I don't have a mobile phone but my home phone is apparently a Duet 80 (I just looked at the sticker on the bottom). Very unfashionable due to it being an old one my parents were throwing out, having bought themselves a flashy cordless thing.

I've had a Nokia 3210, 3310, 3200

went off nokia's - i think their design is horrid and uninspired, so then i got a Samsung E710, and currently, i own a Samsung D500.

Lovely phone, Mp3 player, organiser, and camera. The pictures this phone takes are amazing.

My first phone:

Motorola D170, literally a brick by today's standards:
Image
Had it for the best part of four years, Christmas 1997-2001.
Had lots of advanced features such as two line display and 96hr stand by time. Whoo.
Only got rid of it because the battery wouldn't hold its charge and I wasn't prepared to buy a new one when I heard the cost of it.
Cost: Unknown, was Xmas present.

My second phone:

Panasonic GD35

Nice little phone, a big improvement over the brick I had before. Couldn't get it to write any numbers when it came to texting though, and I killed it when I left it off for far too long and it discharged the battery to a point where it wouldn't hold its charge.
This phone has had a new battery and now owned by my father and works as good as it did before. I had it 2001-2004 but killed it as above in 2003.
Cost: £69.99.

My current phone, March 2004-present:

Very nice. Okay it looks like its made out of plastic but it does the job, has a nice tone to it when it rings and is so light at 90 grams it's nearly floating. Standby time of 180hrs claimed, they're not bullsh*ting either.
Cost: £29.99.

I currently have a lovely O2 X2:

Previous phones include Nokia 8210 and Nokia 3330 or something. Took me ages to get used to my current phone after being so used to Nokias, texting can be a pain in the arse at times as you can't add new words to the dictionary, but I've got the hang of it and I think it's a really good phone now.
