Rich kids at my uni

I just nipped down the road to the shops which are only half a mile down the road from the Uni.

Driving back through Pontypridd just now, the rich kids from Uni were out in force in their cars in the evening sun.

First, there was some 'look at me, aren't I gods gift' bloke who sped past me in his silver Audi TT with the hood down with some stunning page 3 lookalike blonde next to him. Both of them were no more than about 19 or 20 years old. The number plate was KBY 85, so I'm guessing those are his initials and year of birth!

The second was a girl on her own, driving a red TVR convertible! She was driving along with the hood down, shades on and the wind blowing through her hair. She was in front of me, and turned off up the street before mine, and only students live in the streets by me :x

I'm not normally a jealous person, but it was the bloke in the TT that made me ask the age-old question for a split second "What's he got, that I haven't?", before realising another split second later.......rich parents!

My mum isn't poor, but she's not rolling in it either, and the chances of her buying me a new sexy sports car for my birthday are absolutely zero. I don't think I'd want her to though. I've always been brought up to learn that if I want something in this world, such as a nice car/home etc. I've got to work for it myself!

For the first time in a very long time, I've felt jealous of someone else :?

What is there to be jealous of. Do you want to be a stuck-up fart? What would you get out of life if you already started with everything. Being born into money is like having the cheats to a computer game, there's no adventure and you learn nothing.

Real girls love a guy who has worked for his money. Take the car away from the rich kid and there's nothing left, and nothing to be jealous of.

I guess...

I mean I'm happy enough as I am at the moment (OK, there are a couple of personal issues I really need to sort out ASAP), but on the whole, I quite like being me.

A friend of mine commented to me the other week "You lead a very strange life, James. You never seem to follow the crowd, and you have incredibly strange habits such as going to the supermarket and buying ham, lettuce and bread, and then, an hour later driving to Greggs to buy a baguette!"

I guess he's right thinking about it, but I really don't know why my mind works like that! :D

You can't put a price on happiness. Glad your a pretty happy person now just imagine how you'll feel though when all yours dreams for the future come into fruition.
I've achieved so much but it's taken me 10 years to get there and it feels so good because i've worked my ass off to get where i am now and i started with nothing. I can drive my flash motor and look down my nose at the rich kids who've been cut off from their inheritance because they're snorting mummy and daddy's money up their " snotty" little noses.
You'll feel the same. It's true what they say, if your determined enough you can and will achieve it.

YAY!

Well, all I need now is a business partner, because it's always good to have someone with a second opinion before you make any possible faux pa's!

Oh, and of course £50,000 to get the business started!
