As I mentioned in another thread, I recently had some plastic surgery, giving me a rather impressive looking torso.
After only two weeks I have only the most minor scar (which should fade away in the next couple of months). There aren't even any stiches to worry about as they are hidden inside the skin.
Although I had a very good reason to want it done, how do you all feel about cosmetic surgery? Is there any aspect of yourself you would change if you had the budget and inclination?
I'm aware that most of you here are young 'uns, so age reversal is unlikely to be on your list, but what if anything would be?

They did that lipo thing to me too as part of the process. I am informed that fat cells will never again populate round my waist, and it has revealed a muscle tone I had never seen. Woo and indeed hoo.
My mother is having her teeth done shortly, and if it looks bearable then I'll be doing that next.

I used to have great teeth, but then some bastards at the back of my mouth appeared about 5 years ago and pushed my front ones crooked - it looks horrible and I'm quite conscious about smiling.
Also, and I've just noticed it, there is a fucking hole at the top of one of my canine teeth at the top. Not good.
I've been to the NHS orthodontist, but he fobbed me off saying that it "didn't look too bad". Tosser.

That's also my story. I had 4 wisdom teeth through at the same time, knocking my eye teeth backwards.
A simple fix, but I'd like them all done.
Why the hell not?

I'd NEVER have it done. ANY sort of surgery quite frankly scares me, so the less I've got to go under anasthetic the better.
There's no way I'm having an operation because I want to. I just don't see why anyone would actually WANT to put themselves through it!

How about voice coaching, then? No going under the knife necessary!

Its a tough call to be sure, as I'm no more fond of anaesthetics than you; but the benefits outweigh the risks in my view.
Plus I have a rather wonderful surgeon whom I trust.

I won't be going under the knife as I hate surgery. The thought of going to hospital or somewhere else to have anything done makes me sick.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?Gavin Scott wrote:Its a tough call to be sure, as I'm no more fond of anaesthetics than you; but the benefits outweigh the risks in my view.
