The Boy Meets Girl version from YONKS ago is and always will be shite, and the various mixes since then have also been cheesy, shite and equisitely James Martin.

I actually hadn't noticed that they were two different songs until then.

Reminds me of the early 90's when Rednex released 'Cotton Eye Joe' and 'Old Pop in an Oak' which were pretty much the same song with different words and when they first came out you didn't notice the difference - although this is a more extreme case than that.

You'll encounter that feeling more and more the older you get; and I worked with a woman in her 60s who was quite convinced everything she heard on the radio was "stolen" from the past.

I suppose it's to be expected. There are only 8 notes in the scale. With similar rhythm and phrasing the same patterns will emerge again and again.

accodring to The Hits one is a sample (sunset strippers) the other is a cover (cabin crew) although theres not much diffrence.

The original has a definative 80's sound ;)
