Well after all of the potential areas visited what do people think our chances are of winning the bid, personally I think it could be fairly good, considering that Paris had those strikes.
However what do others think

The Olympic games in my opinion shouldn't come to London at all but to Paris because not only will it bring people the UK anyway because they will be in France and great britain isn't that far away anyway, it will also be on the same time as us anyway (nearly!). Also I think it would be a complete waste of money and the money could go to something better here anyway (people are saying that we'll get loads of houses but why not spend the same amount that we would spend anyway and build even more houses?
wow what a solution!).
Toodles.

Toodles.
Doubt London will get it. It just couldn't cope.
If we believe a new stadium or two in East London is going to regenerate a very nasty area, and has been for many years then they're mistakened.
Canary Wharf and the Docklands is a fine example of how to regenerate an area - I don't think many people consider it to be anything other than a success.
Oh and the transport can't cope with the people living in London as it is, never mind extra millions of people for the weeks of the Olympic.

Good Lord!
Well if we don't get the games I hope the "London Borough of Newham" actually do something with Stratford.
Thorn Security (Now ADT) moved out of their premises in Stratford in 1989/1990. The building is STILL standing empty!
People who know Stratford will know how rough it is & how in decay it is, look over to Platform 9/10 at Stratford station & see that wonderful Startford Mountain  that has been there since 1999.
That area originally was knackered old factories.
I hope that if we DO get it they don't muck it up like Greece nearly did last year

i am with a great many west midlanders hoping that london fails to win the bid. back in the early 90s the government failed to back the birmingham bid. i'm sure would never have succeeded, but that’s not the point, the point of the bid was to raise the city's profile on the world stage around the time of the city's centenary and during the major regeneration.
what goes around comes around. london already has far more cash lavished on it's public transport system, lets not give them more excuses to upgrade the south east's infrastructure whilst ignoring the rest of england.
oh and we are all still waiting for the channel tunnel rail link ... remember the reason why MPs outside of the south east voted for the channel tunnel. not to mention the national stadium debacle.
