Yes but IE4 introduced all kinds of new things over IE3, including the shell enhancements, dynamic HTML and ill-fated ActiveX controls. Therefore it was a worthwhile upgrade.James Martin wrote:To be fair Neil Internet Explorer has evolved quite a bit in its technological support.

Well in this day and age if a site doesn't work in IE4 it really doesn't matter as that version of the browser is so out of date anywayNovember 1997 was Internet Explorer 4 and there's a lot of sites that don't work - or at least don't work properly - in IE4.
