I loved Edinburgh when I stayed there a couple of years ago. I didn't find it crap at all!
Well the first Crap Towns book of late 2003 had Hull as the no 1 choice. The book was made up of editor's reasons for crap towns rather than a reader vote on their website. Brighton made no 22 in the first book. No mention of Cleethorpes and Bridlington in the first book though.

Ellesmere Port has died since the 60's, what with the port arcades being taken over by gift shops and furniture stores. They did try to redevelop it, but all they really did was add a Mecca bingo and hope for the best.

Surprised Chesters on the Crap Towns list. Unless they included the suburbs, which are truly awful. Otherwise, It's a nice little city.

Harry Hill : "What is it about people that repair shoes that makes them so good at cutting keys? Try going in there with a shoe shaped like a key and see how confused they get."

To top it all off Ellsmere Port also has Cheshire Oaks and The Colliseum Retail and Entertainment Park adjacent.

How does the old phrase go? If Britain needed an enema, Cleethorpes would be where they pumped it in.

My town is very boring. I find London very restricting in choices of social activities.

You haven't lived until you've paid a visit to Bexhill-on-Sea, once famously described by Spike Milligan as a "graveyard from the ground up".

I got all excited last year as it looked like we were going to get a Wetherspoons, until the conservative elderly population (that's almost everyone, then) shot the plans down in flames. We could have had cheap beer and portion-controlled curry

A couple of reasons on why I think that Warrington is sheer crap at times, courtesy of Question Time tonight....

...the second picture is of The Pyramid Centre, a crappy arts place that no-one visits, and it's where Question Time is coming from.

Though slightly OT, I was pleased when they showed this one...

...as this shot was taken from a Bridge very close to my house.
